Rule of 15 for Hypoglycemia
Insulin shock or Hypoglycemia
1. Give 15 grams of sugar
2. 2 large teaspoon of sugar
1/2 can of regular soda
4 oz of orange juice
Rule of 15
It is called rule of 15 because you are going to give your patient or hypoglycemic patient with 15 grams of sugar and wait for 15 minutes interval then if no improvement occur give another 15 grams of sugar but if there is really no improvement after giving the rule of 15 to patient then it is really necessary to seek medical help.
